I am back in Hackforth, visiting my folks; joined by Mrs Backhouse and a heap of technology.

Alison is coming over tomorrow on the train. Michael and family are also making an appearance around midday – it’ll be good to see them all.

The reason we have gathered is that Dad has a big birthday in the coming week, this is the nearest weekend to it and we are here for it! One of the things we have got him (and Mum) are return fights to France so he can visit his brother.

I threw together a quick graphic so he has something to open on the day. This graphic is a bit like a gift voucher but it is only claimable for the present we have bought him; it is just a bit of fun…

The main present is quite something – possibly imported from America. It can survive a hurricane, is all I dare say at the moment incase dad stumbles upon this blog.

We are off out for a meal tomorrow. I confident that I can sleep enough to enjoy it. And, more to the point, stop myself from interrupting other people’s enjoyment of the event.

It is a bit late and I admit I am starting to flag. So, this is a good point to sign off for the night – I will write another blog post as soon as possible so I can share further news.

In the interim, enjoy this Radio show that me and Allan’s Myth put together – yeah, we miss Scooby. But, he chose to move three hours car journey away…

What do you make to this show….

Andrew Backhouse is a Yorkshire-based artist working with time-based media and digital collage. He is a self-confessed radio geek and he hopes to share his wonder. He also wants to share his naivety and enthusiasm for finding something interesting. Henri Chopin, AGF, and RuPaul influence Andrew’s artistic enquiry. Documenting “The new shiny thing,” Andrew tries to share his excitement for it. But, he also asks about its authenticity and worth.
